Logging in to and out of Alio Vendor Portal

The Create an account link is not displayed if the Hide the Create an Account Link security option is selected by the Alio Vendor Portal system administrator.

The following message will display if the database is not available: “Vendor Portal is currently unavailable due to the database being down. Please try again later.” Please contact your Vendor Portal administrator for assistance, if needed.

Alio Vendor Portal Administrators

Important Note: The Forgot your username? link and Forgot your password? link display only if you entered a unique Alio Vendor Portal user name and password when creating your Alio Vendor Portal administrator account. If your Alio Vendor Portal system administrator instructed you to use a network user name and password, these links are not displayed.

Password Security

When the Password Expiration utility is implemented in Alio Employee Service Portal (ESP), and:

  • A Vendor Portal  administrator  user logs in to Alio VP with a unique Alio VP user name and password (user created), the message "Your password has expired. Please use the forgot your password link in order to reset your password." displays.

  • LDAP is implemented, and a Vendor Portal administrator user with permission to bypass LDAP authentication logs in to Alio VP with a unique Alio VP user name and password, the message "Your password has expired. An e-mail has been sent to you in order to reset your password." The VP administrator user will receive a Reset Your Password e-mail notification that contains a Reset Your Password link.  

The Password Expiration utility is disabled for VP administrator users that log in using their network user name and password (i.e., LDAP is implemented).

Logging in to Alio Vendor Portal as a Vendor

After creating an Alio Vendor Portal user account, follow these steps to log in to the Vendor Portal.

  1. Launch your browser and open Alio Vendor Portal. The Sign In to Vendor Portal page appears.

  2. Type your Username and Password.

  3. Click the button to enter the portal. The Vendor Portal Home page appears.

Alio Vendor Portal Account Login Messages

When you log into the Alio Vendor Portal with incorrect credentials:

  • The message "The user name or password was not recognized." displays when an incorrect user name is entered. Click the Forgot your username? link to request your user name to be sent to your e-mail address. You are prompted to answer one of your personal questions. Refer to Requesting Your User Name for more information.

  • The message "Invalid password. ? attempts remain before the account is locked out." displays when an incorrect password is entered (where the ? represents the number of attempts remaining). Click the Forgot your password? link to request a change your password link to be sent to your e-mail address. You are prompted to enter your user name or e-mail address and answer one of your personal questions. Refer to Requesting Your Password for more information.

Contact your Alio Vendor Portal system administrator if your account is locked due to unsuccessful login attempts.

If the security questions and corresponding answers linked to your user account are not defined, the User Account Security Questions/Answers page automatically displays. You must define the three Personal Questions and Answers before you can access Vendor Portal. When finished, click the   button to go to the Vendor Portal Administrator Home page.

Logging in to Alio Vendor Portal as an Administrator

After creating a Vendor Portal administrator account, follow these steps to log in to the Vendor Portal.

  1. Launch your browser and open Alio Vendor Portal. The Sign In to Vendor Portal page appears.

  2. Type your Username and Password.

  3. Click the button to enter the portal. The Vendor Portal Administrator Home page appears.

Alio Vendor Portal Account Login with a Unique User Name and Password

When you log into Alio Vendor Portal with a unique user name and password (user created):

  • The message "The user name or password was not recognized." displays when an incorrect user name is entered. Click the Forgot your username? link to request your user name to be sent to your e-mail address. You are prompted to answer one of your personal questions. Refer to Requesting Your User Name for more information.

  • The message "Invalid password. ? attempts remain before the account is locked out." displays when an incorrect password is entered (where the ? represents the number of attempts remaining).   • The message "Your password has expired. Please use the forgot your password link in order to reset your password." displays if your organization implemented the Password Expiration function and your password has met the password expiration requirement.

LDAP Implemented

The Password Expiration utility is disabled for administrator users that log in to Alio Vendor Portal using their network user name and password. However, if an administrator user is one identified to bypass LDAP authentication, the message "Your password has expired. An e-mail has been sent to you in order to reset your password." will display, and the user will receive a Reset Your Password notification e-mail.

Security Questions

If the security questions and corresponding answers linked to your user account are not defined, the User Account Security Questions/Answers page automatically displays. You must define the three Personal Questions and Answers before you can access Vendor Portal. When finished, click the   button to go to the Vendor Portal Administrator Home page.

Network Login Provided by your Network Administrator

If your district requires a network-based user name and password to log into Alio Vendor Portal, and you enter an incorrect user name, the message "The user name or password was not recognized." displays. Please contact your network administrator for assistance with this message.

Logging out of Alio Vendor Portal

Click the User Name link in the upper right corner of the page, and the click the Log Out option.
