Using LDAP Lightweight Directory Access Protocol*

Click to select the LDAP check box to check user authentication against the LDAP server when a Vendor Portal administrator logs into the Vendor Portal. You should select the check box only if your organization uses LDAP.

If your organization uses LDAP authentication, the Current Password field displays on the Create New Account page instead of the Password and Confirm Password fields.

Leave this check box clear if your organization does not use LDAP authentication.

LDAP Domain*

This field displays only when the Using LDAP check box is selected.

Type the IP address or host name of the target server.

Leave this field blank if your organization does not use LDAP authentication.

This field displays only when the Using LDAP check box is selected.

Click the Drop Down List button to select the appropriate option from the list: MS Active Directory or Novell eDirectory.

If Novell eDirectory is selected, the LDAP Proxy Settings display.

Note: The LDAP Use Proxy flag is automatically set when the Novell eDirectory is selected. This field is hidden and not available to the administrator user.

Leave this field blank if your organization does not use LDAP authentication.

Vendor Authentication Statuses/LDAP Authentication Vendor Statuses*

These fields display only when the Using LDAP check box is selected.

Use the Vendor Authentication Statuses list to identify the employee status codes that will bypass LDAP authentication when a user logs into alio Vendor Portal. Instead, the login process will verify the user name and password against the alio Vendor Portal user name and password stored in the alio Vendor Portal database.

Use the LDAP Authentication Vendor Statuses list to identify the vendor status codes that must pass through the LDAP validation process before accessing alio Vendor Portal.

To move a vendor status to the Vendor Authentication Statuses list:

1. In the LDAP Authentication Vendor Statuses list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each employment status allowed to bypass LDAP authentication.

2. Click the Left Arrow button to move the selected employment statuses to the Vendor Authentication Statuses list.

3. Click the button.  The message "Account Preference Settings Updated" displays.

4. Click the button to close the dialog box.

To move an employment status to the LDAP Authentication Vendor Statuses list:

1. In the Vendor Authentication Statuses list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each employment status required to use LDAP authentication.

2. Click the Right Arrow button to move the selected employment statuses to the LDAP Authentication Vendor Statuses list.

3. Click the button. The message "Account Preference Settings Updated" displays.

4. Click the button to close the dialog box.

Vendor Portal Authentication Employment Statuses list is blank.

LDAP Authentication Employment Statuses list lists the employment status codes defined in alio.

Allow User Name Retrieval*

Click to select this check box to allow users to request their user name. The "Forgot your username?" message will display on the Sign In to Vendor Portal Login page.

Leave this check box blank to not allow users to request their user name (default). The "Forgot your username?" message will not display on the Sign In to Vendor Portal Login page.

The Allow User Name Retrieval option is not available if the Using LDAP check box is selected.

This check box is not selected.

Allow Vendor to Change Email

Click to select this check box to grant permission to vendors to change their Vendor Portal E-mail Address on the Account page.

Leave this check box blank to not allow vendors to change their Vendor Portal E-mail Address on the Account page.

This check box is selected.

Hide Create an Account Link*

Click to select this check box to hide the Create an Account link on the Vendor Portal Login page, which will prevent vendors from creating an alio Vendor Portal account.

This check box is not selected.

Allow Account Creation for Inactive Vendors

Click to select this check box to grant permission to vendors with an inactive status in alio to create an alio Vendor Portal account.

This check box is selected.

Personal Question Attempts*

Type the number of times a user can attempt to answer a personal question. The user is locked out of alio Vendor Portal when the user exceeds this number.

Type a zero (0) to disable this feature.

Login Attempts*

Type the number of times a user can attempt to log in to alio Vendor Portal. The user is locked out of alio Vendor Portal when the user exceeds this number.

Type a zero (0) to disable this feature.

Lockout Time in Hours*

Type the number of hours a user is locked out of alio Vendor Portal after a failed login or personal question attempt.

Type a zero (0) to indefinitely lock the user account. The user will need to submit a request to the administrator to unlock the account.

New Account Instructions

Type instructions to display on the Create Vendor Account page. Misspelled words are automatically underlined with a wavy red line. Right-click a misspelled word to display correct spelling options.

You can also type the instructions in another word processing tool, and then cut and paste those instructions in to the New Account Instructions text box.
