Maintaining a Vendor Contact

Use the Contacts grid to add or edit a vendor contact record. This record includes the contact's name, title, phone number and extension (if applicable), and e-mail address.

Adding a Vendor Contact Record

To add a vendor contact record:

  1. In the Contacts grid, click the Add button . The Add/Edit Contacts form appears.

  2. Enter the following fields.

Column

Definition

Contact Name

Type the name of the vendor contact. You can type a maximum of 40 alphanumeric characters.

Title

Type the title of the vendor contact. You can type a maximum of 40 alphanumeric characters.

Phone

Type the contact's 10-digit telephone number without punctuation. The program formats the phone number automatically when the cursor is advanced to the next field.

Ext

Type the contact's telephone extension , if applicable. You can type a maximum of 10 numeric digits.

Email

Type the contact's e-mail address. You can type a maximum of 60 alphanumeric characters.

  1. Click the button.

Editing a Vendor Contact Record

To edit a vendor contact record:

  1. In the Contacts grid, click the Edit button that corresponds to the vendor contact record to be changed. The Add/Edit Contacts form appears with the selected vendor contact record details displayed.

  2. Make the necessary changes to the vendor contact record.

  3. Click the button.
